I bought this product despite reading a couple of negative reviews. It does the job fine if you know what to expect and help the presentation a bit. When I tried it on out of the box, it looked like a pair of gray pajamas with a codpiece and a matador’s cape. Once I put a pair of jeans on underneath and a shirt with padding on, the costume filled out and it made a pretty good representation of Boba Fett.As for size, I’m 5’7″ and I didn’t have the usual issues I do with a costume being too long in the legs. My one complaint is the helmet is too flat once assembled and can smoosh the face a bit. If I had it to do over again, I’d have put the helmet together a couple of days before hand, wadded up a towel inside, put a rubber band or something around it, and shaped the helmet somewhat. Not sure if that would work, but I think it would have. All in all, this costume gets the point across and was comfortable except for the helm, so it did its job.

X-L was like a morph suit on me. Im a fat dude and that’s why I bought this size, was barely big enough, but hilarious. Strangely enough it was also not tall enough. I’m 5’10” and this is supposed to be the XL, so you would imagine it would be taller, but on me it was maaaad tight in the shoulders to crotch. Like my junk was to the side because they had to pick which side of the fence to hang out on, and that same seam was also waaay up my ass to the point where I had to wear an assflap I made by cutting a large square out of one side of a shirt because the sight of me from behind left nothing to the imagination.

Surprisingly Good : I”ve actually purchased this costume twice. A few years back I”d sent it straight back as it was huge on me, but thankfully after a growth spurt the second purchase fitted much better. the costume itself is generally well made, however some of the parts need tweaking. I had to use hair grips to fasten the huge belt, and I stuffed the gauntlets with tissue paper to pad them out. The worst part of the costume is the helmet, I wore it to a halloween disco the phrase ”I can”t see a thing in this helmet” was probably overused but fitting. It steamed up and the plastic itself isn”t exactly the most transparent of materials. All in all though it went down well, I purchased the Boba Fett blaster rifle to go with it which went well, but a different helmet purchase could have been a good shout too, money dependant.

This is a smidge on the larger side, which is good if you plan to wear clothes underneath. The helmet is not the greatest and was hard for my husband to see out of, so he cut the plastic out that you are supposed to see through. It got a lot of rave reviews as we took the kids trick-or-treating though!

I bought this to spray paint silver and turn into a Mandolorian costume for a show. That helmet is small. It barely fit my head and my nose nearly pressed against the visor (which didn’t hide my nose very well. I get that they couldn’t make it darker for safety reasons, but I still could barely see through it). For 8 shows so far, I had to sit on stage for over an hour with that helmet and it sucks! It got so hot, I’d have to run off stage occasionally to cool down. Also, the velcro holding the helmet together wasn’t very strong and wasn’t glued down very well. The armor pieces don’t line up on your body like you’d they should, especially the knees. If you buy this, plan on tearing those off and gluing them back on the right way.Overall, it did the job. It was a lot cheaper than almost anything else I could find, and the cheaper ones all looked terrible. With a little effort, your can make this a decent costume for relatively cheap.

I’m 5’11” 220 and bought the XL it fits great. I have the black series helmet and it goes great with this. The knee and shoulder pads stick way out but can be fixed. For the price this is a great deal. I have the jango costume as well and I think it’s a better costume as the pads don’t stick out on it. Overall this one was better than I thought it would be.

In regards to the overall rating, it’s a 5/5 for me. I expected it to come in nice and tight, and slim. But it did not. I don’t dislike it. Because the top tends to slide, I suggest sowing black elastics between the heel and base of the heel. You can easily manipulate the boot cover though. I need a lip for the look I’m trying to achieve, the folds are crisp and clean! 10/10.

Classy; look nicer than the product that comes with the costume
