As a fan and collector of high end masks and props, I’m usually highly skeptical of mass produced latex masks. I’m thrilled to say this Rubie’s Fatso mask is absolutely fantastic! The latex is a good thickness, so even though it arrived folded up in a thin plastic bag, it quickly popped back out to its correct shape.In my included photos, one is me wearing it right out of the bag, and you can tell it still has a bit of warping from being folded during shipping. In my second photo, I warmed the mask and stuffed it with plastic bags and it held its shape nicely and looks so good!The hair is glued on to the top of the head, and definitely needs some styling. In my pics, I simply pulled it up by hand to separate the synthetic strands a bit. It really needs to be combed out gently, then maybe add some styling gel or lightly sprayed hair spray to match his mohawk as seen in the movie.If wearing as part of a costume, visibility is limited by the small openings near the eyes. You’ll likely need to add some foam padding in the head to position it correctly, especially if you have a smaller head. It fit my big head pretty well, though I’d also recommend wearing a sheer black hood to hide your eyes from being seen, or use some black makeup around your eyes. There are tiny gaps between the teeth and in the ears, but really doesn’t provide a lot of airflow. This will be a hot mask to wear for any length of time.Overall, I’m super impressed with the quality of the sculpt, the latex pull, and the paint job. It looks even better than the tiny preview picture they use on Amazon. Highly recommended for any fans of Killer Klowns from Outer Space!
