When I first saw the mask I was amazed for finally found a real Black Mask mask. My first concern was the size of the head but when it arrived my home and I tried it, it perfectly fitted to my big head, the only detail of the mask was the color because as the title says: “Black Mask” it should have be black not gray but I fixed the problem painting the mask in black, instead of returning the mask and all the stuff you need to do for getting what you want. That’s all fellas, now I’m ready for halloween!!!!

So last year I was going to be Black Mask for Halloween, I found a sweet skull paintball mask and everything. Then came the flood down in Texas. I was trapped at home due to this big flood we got that ruined a bunch of my stuff and most importantly my Halloween. This year I told my self I wouldn’t miss Halloween and I’d redeem my self and do Black Mask again so I ordered this mask. It came in two days flat thanks to prime and it was what I expected. The material is a good strong latex material that I would compare to the Batman masks that came out for Batman Begins. Only thing wrong with it is since I have a rather large cranium the back of the mask won’t reach the Velcro to close but it’s hardly noticeable and quit frankly now comfortable! I think it’s well priced for it being a rare mask. It’s also a collectors item as I am going to add it to my collection of super hero and villain masks after Halloween for sure!

As stated it looks just like the chaacter from the game but the rubber is more semi-dark grey than proper black ( i had to paint it to get it right) and the opening in the back has no means of tightening it or securing it. Just an open flap. I (had to get Velcro to fix this.)Overall a bit over priced for such sloppy oversights. At 45 dollars total (tax and free prime shipping) I should not have had to repaint the mask to make black masks mask, actually Black.

i have to say it the mold is what it shows, but it is to big, and really really gray so if you you want it to look like the pic they have, then you will have to paint it your self, and if you want it to fit you ether have to have a big head or find a way to fix it, both i am trying to work on, i will say its not worth 40, it looks and feels like something you would buy at a Halloween shop for 15 dollars, and you will need to get black paint for your eyes and nose but i knew that was going to happen, if you are going to spend a lot of money or can i would say get a prop maker to make you one. if you don’t really care and just want a one time quick fix for a lot of money then i guess you found the thing for you.

So first the actual mask is pretty awesome. Except for the color. From the description it is supposed to be Black Mask, who in the comics and video game lore has a black colored skull mask. The mask I got is a silver toned dark or gray granite color. It fits as you would expect a one size fits most and it was shipped decently enough.

It looks good, it is a silver/grey color and it was fairly large so I cut holes in the back to add laces and I painted the face the color I wanted.This mask looks great with amazing detail so if you’re ok with a project mask then this is for you.Project time: 5 – 15 minutes

Fits well, kind of a pain to get on but there is little in the way of wasted space. I had hoped the material would be a little sturdier, but it is nonetheless surprisingly resilient. Despite my gripes (which are honestly just nitpicks), it is well worth the cost.
