I usually don’t write reviews but I had to make an exception so people can know what they are buying. The costume comes with the hooded cape AND a sleeveless black dress which I find to be a very good bargain for your money! The cape is light and allows air flow so it’s well ventilated. I’m 5’8 and the cape touches the ground! So this costume is great for tall people! If you’re on the shorter side the material is very easily cut with a good pair of scissors. But here comes the ONLY reason I gave it 4 stars. Dress size. The costume only comes in “standard” size and says it fits up to 14/16 which I feel to be not the case. I am 153lbs and a size 8 (34DD) and the dress seems to fit me perfectly. So as I do feel the cape will fit “most”, the dress most certainly will not. Just be cautious ladies if you are over 160ish. *But if you are looking for a amazingly creepy yet beautiful cape this is the BEST CHOICE!!!

Great Costume. It was a bit large and long for me, I am between 5’3 and 5’4 and normally size 4, but I added a belt to help with the length of the dress. I had on several layers underneath of the dress cause it was an outdoor party and temps dipped to lower 30’s, and due to the way the dress was made, it is very flexible to different body types or layers. I did cut off about 1 foot of the cape since I wore it outside for party, it was easily cut to size for me. This company did a great job designing this costume.

My package arrived promptly. I was not entirely sure about their sizing because on the listing the size is listed as “STANDARD.” Turns out that the label on the package said that it’s Size 14/16, which is perfect! But then again… even if it says Size 2, it would have been perfect because I purchased this for the hooded cape and NOT the dress.As for the hooded cape… I am 5’4″, and even with 6 inch heels… this thing still drags on the ground, which is EXACTLY what I want. I didn’t want something that did not drag on the floor even in heels.As for the dress… since my regular clothing size fluctuates between 13/14 to 15/16, depending on the clothing manufacturer… the dress fits like a glove. The material is thin, and somewhat see-thru, but it’s pretty standard for packaged costumes. The dress is pretty plain, it’s just a straight tubular shape. If you’re curvy like me, it will hug your curves. However the material is not super stretchy… it has a little bit of stretch, so if you normally wear clothing larger than 15/16… this may not work for you.

At a size 18/20 and 5’2 this standard size dress fits fitted and is a perfect below ankle but above ground length. I wouldn’t say it’s tight as there is still a little more stretch to it but fitted enough that I plan to wear a girdle to smooth everything out. The cape/cloak is long which only adds to the look of the costume and is somewhat on the firmer side rather than soft. The hood is nice and big but I do have to use bobby pins to hold it on as it tends to slide back. Make sure to get this costume early to mold the cape/hood to the shape you want because it comes scrunched up in a package and needs time to relax. Overall I love this costume; it’s creepy and mysterious and looks exactly like the picture.

The fit of this costume was great for me but I’m fairly tall for a female (5′-9″) and without heels, the dress portion would have drug the ground so if you are on the shorter side proceed with caution. My complaint is with the material of the cape/hood. I’m thinking that with all of the other great posts about this product that it is possible the material was recently changed. The hood portion is just two layers of tulle that basically stuck straight up and over my head at about a two foot radius…it doesn’t lay down as shown in the photo here. There is a previous review with a photo and it looks like hers laid down and she had no problem with it which is why I think this product has changed. If it weren’t for the hood, I’d give the rest of the outfit 5 stars for the price…

You definitely get what you pay for. But this item clings! The cape is a little different then what I expected I feel that I could’ve made one myself. But I would recommend this to someone who’s looking for a cheap quick costume.

I was 157cm and 53kg when I wore this for Halloween, the length was pretty long that I was swiping the floor most of the time and I needed to put safety pin behind the dress to make it fit me. The safety pin was not really seen though since the cape on top of the dress hide it. other than that the quality was okay to enjoy the day. I felt a bit cold that day so I had to wear some long sleeves under it but still looks fine 🙂

LOVED MY CAPE! Looked like I was floating across the floor. It was long and dragged on the floor, but that’s the affect I wanted. Granted I’m only 5’3 and I wore flats….so at times I did have many people stepping on it and I had to hold it up a bit during crowded areas….but other than that, it was beautiful. Good strong material! I expected a few rips at the bottom….but nope!
